Hands On Healthcare
"Empowering every pair of hands to suture the gaps, master the craft, and lead the charge for a healthier tomorrow..."
About HOH
We are a student-led organization focused on teaching basic, practical skills through fun, interactive workshops. With backgrounds as CNAs, scribes, and pharmacy, our team brings in real-world experience to every session. What began as a love for learning has now grown into a passion for teaching. This club isn’t just about workshops- it’s also about connecting students who are interested in, or are already exploring the broad world of healthcare.

Katia.ferdowsi@ucf.edu
I'm Dr. Katia Ferdowsi, an Associate lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences at the College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS). I have Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees from Iran. I joined UCF in 2016 and taught Preventive Healthcare, Introduction to Human Disease, and currently teach Pathophysiology I, II and Concepts in Pathophysiological Diagnosis . I enjoy having the opportunity to share my medical knowledge with students, chat, and advise them regarding their future goals and careers!
Some fun facts about me are that I placed third in the national women's tennis championship in my home country, and I'm a chips lover (glad to be part of CHPS at UCF )
